During the Sengoku period, Japan was visited by European merchant ships, their captains hoping to make their fortune trading with the strange new territory (as well as helping to spread Christianity).
Inspired somewhat by the Shogun TV series, this figure introduces a Western element to your Test of Honour force. The Merchant Captain is depicted in fencing pose – weight on the back foot – drawing his rapier.
The Merchant Captain has special rules for his rapier, and reflects how the samurai would struggle with the unfamiliar style of swordsmanship. The longer blade and fast, one-handed thrust would often catch them off guard!
Miniatures supplied unpainted and unassembled.
